1.0 Description:

This specification covers wire for fuzz buttons.

2.0 Specifications:

2.1 Material: 0.0020" +/-.0001 diameter after plating Nickel-Chromium Stablohm 675 wire.

2.2 Plating:

A. Chemically active surface in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended procedures.

B. Nickel plate (.00005" min./.000010" max. thickness)

C. Gold plate in accordance with MIL-G 45204, (Type I) .000050" thickness minimum/.000070 maximum.

3.0 Quality Control:

3.1 Visual appearance: Bright gold.

3.2 Wire to be free of residues, (i.e. soap, oils, wax, etc.)
