This specification covers wire for fuzz buttons.

2.0 Specifications:

2.1 Material: 0.0020" +/-.0001 diameter after plating Beryllium Copper Wire, Alloy #172.

2.2 Plating:

A. Nickel plate (.000030" min. thickness)

B. Gold plate in accordance with MIL-G 45204, (type 2) .000010" thickness minimum/0.000020 maximum.

3.0 Quality Control:

3.1 Visual appearance: Bright gold.

3.2 Wire to be free of residues, (i.e. soap, oils, wax, etc.)
